About the hunt

Whitetail at River Valley.

Whitetail are the deer Oklahoma is known for, and the ranch manages its herd for age, genetics, and antler class — so a hunt here means real bucks, not just numbers. You'll hunt the rolling, wooded river-valley ground with a guide who knows where the mature deer move, side-by-sides to cover country, and trophy recovery and field care handled.

The herd is managed by ranch manager Chris Ezell, who brings nearly two decades in the whitetail deer industry and has served as President of Whitetails of Oklahoma. In 2025 the ranch harvested an SCI record typical whitetail. His standard isn’t a single animal — it’s a better herd every season.

About the whitetail.

The whitetail is North America’s most-hunted big-game animal — and the deer Oklahoma is built around. Bucks regrow their antlers every year, and a mature typical rack, with tall tines, heavy mass, and a wide spread, is one of the hardest trophies on the continent to earn. Wary, edge-loving, and sharp-nosed, they reward patience and good ground.
